SECOND YEAR GRANT RECEIVED FROM R.J. MCELROY TRUST

The CSF of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) has received the second installment of $3,600 from the R. J. McElroy Trust of Waterloo for the preschool 2002-2003 school year. A grant was requested from the R. J. McElroy Trust to fund the first three years’ worth of scholarships to give us the time to raise a $100,000 endowment fund needed to permanently support scholarships after the first three years.

This second $3,600 installment from R. J. McElory will be used towards the preschool tuition fees, and the third year the preschool fund will receive $4,620. After the third year the $100,000 endowment fund needs to be in place for the scholarship foundation to continue giving out a scholarship to our preschool students.

J. C. Miller made a comment that we need everyone’s assistance to get the endowment fund raised over the next two years if we are to continue giving a scholarship to our preschool students.

If anyone would like to contribute to the preschool fund you can send in your payment to the Scholarship Foundation at Box 469, Brooklyn, IA 52211 and make sure that you mark your contribution for preschool.
