On Tuesday, November 9th, CSF of BGM prepared for mailing their annual report
and appeal letter with the help of several high school students, committee
members, and volunteers in general. With all the help, over 3500 letters were
prepared in just over 1 1/2 hours! It is their hope that those receiving the
mailing will take time to read over the information and consider sending a
contribution. Please remember the Foundation does not spend your money, but
instead invests it for the future. Your contributions go into an endowment fund,
and only the interest earned is awarded each May as scholarships. As the
endowment funds continue to grow, the help the Foundation is able to provide
continues to increase.
Those helping with the mailings included: Don Atkinson, Allison Bauman, Kim
Bauman, Megan Chapman, Amy Cline, Julie Cline, Sara Cline, Sheryl Cline, Cheryl
Cook, Jeannie Crabtree, Kayla Crabtree, Brittany DePauw, Becky Edelen, Natalie
Gritsch, Jan Heetland, Sarah Heinen, Curt Kline, Sabrina Law, Molly McLain,
Allison Plants, Katy Plants, Jason Reever, Andrea Roth, Kyle Roudabush, Megan
Solem, Krystal Smith, and Celsey Tuttle.
If you have not yet made a contribution, now is the time. When you support CSF
of BGM, you help open the doors to higher education. Doing so also tells our
students we believe in them, have confidence in their ability, and support their
efforts to better themselves and their community. You are helping to make that
difference, and we encourage you to consider what you can give to help.
The Foundation is grateful to everyone who has helped support CSF of BGM through
the years and hopes you will continue your support in the future. If you would
like to make a contribution, please contact Kim Bauman, Board of Trustee
representative for Chapter AK PEO of Brooklyn, or any other board member. You
can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, IA 52211.
