MAY DECLARED SCHOLARSHIP MONTH

 

           

            The CSF of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) received a notice that Governor Vilsack declared May as scholarship month in Iowa. 

 

            Dollars for Scholars is a community’s was of saying that it cares about young people.  Iowa’s bright future depends on the continuing growth of an educated workforce and populace.  Dollars for Scholars helps connect young people with their communities, and challenges and motivates students to achieve academic success.  It provides a critical investment in the future through education.

 

            This month in ceremonies across the state, 109 Dollars for Scholars chapters will award more than $2.6 million in community-based scholarships to more than 4,200 high school students from across the state.  The local chapter will be giving out $28,375.00.

 

            This Wednesday evening May 12th at 7:00 p.m., be sure to show your support for our graduating seniors who will be receiving a scholarship from the Citizens Scholarship Foundation.  This will be your chance to show your support for our local students who will be furthering their education.
