Walk with CSF of BGM

CSF of BGM will hold an informational meeting Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 7:00 pm in the BGM High School Library for anyone interested in participating in the First Lady Christie Vilsack’s Walk for Dollars for Scholars. Pledge forms will be available at the meeting and are available at BGM High School, Manatt’s, and Patriot Bank.

The 5K walk is being held on Sunday, October 3 beginning at Terrace Hill in Des Moines. Walkers interested in participating need to let us know their intent by Sunday, Sept 12 to receive a long sleeve t-shirt at the event. Walkers can sign up through Sept 30 and all pledges need to be turned in by Thursday, Sept 30. There is a $25 walker fee. All money raised after the walker fee will be deposited into the 3^rd Year Fund of the Foundation.

There are many activities planned for the day of the walk. Activities begin with a pancake breakfast before the walk. A college fair is being planned. Scholarships will be given to chapters meeting set criteria to be handed out next spring. A free tot trot for kids 8 and under will be held after the walk. A pumpkin painting session is also being planned.
