ANNUAL STATEMENT AND APPEAL LETTER RESULTS
The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) sent out their annual statement and appeal letters the last week in October. From November 1st to the 15th, so far 50 contributors have returned a total of $2,430.60.
With the year 2000 coming closer to an end please consider making a contribution to the Foundation. All contributions, even $5.00 or $10.00, add up. This is a BGM community project and it takes the entire community to make it the best it can be.
The Foundation needs everyone to contribute, not only those who have supported the Foundation in the past, but also each year the Foundation needs additional new people to help support our students. Remember the Foundation does not spend your money but invests it for the future. Your contributions go into an endowment fund and just the interest earned is awarded each May as scholarships.
If you have not yet made a contribution now is the time. Any contribution you make to the Foundation is keep track of and once you have reached the $500.00 or more level your name will then be placed on the plaque displayed at the High School. When you support CSF of BGM, you help open doors to education. You are telling our students we believe in them, have confidence in their ability, and support their efforts to better themselves and their community. You are helping to make that difference.
The Foundation is grateful to everyone who has helped support the Foundation and hopes you continue your support in the future. If you would like to make a contribution to the Foundation please contact Marty Kolars, Board of Trustee representative for the Malcom Ruritan, or any other board member. You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, IA 52211.
