FRANK AND ANNA BENESH MEMORIAL ESTABLISHED WITHIN CSF

The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) received a check for $300.00 from Loyal Benesh for a Frank and Anna Benesh memorial scholarship.

Frank and Anna Benesh both attended the Guernsey school system, and Frank was in the tiling business for 21 years in Brooklyn. Anna was a housewife raising 3 children, Loyal Benesh - Brooklyn, Sarah (Benesh) Michaek – Victor, and Dorothy Benesh – Newton.

Loyal started school in Guernsey and graduated with the Class of 49 at Brooklyn.  He had worked for the City of Brooklyn for 21 years before retiring.  Loyal wanted to give a scholarship in his parents name to help other kids to continue onto a higher education since all of his children and grandchildren have either graduated or are attending school at BGM.

Loyal’s three children all graduated from BGM, Sheri (Class of 73), Teri  (Class of 76), and Jeff (Class of 81).

The Foundation is grateful to Loyal and his wife Kathy and their children and grandchildren for their donation to the Foundation.  Sheri (Benesh) Atkinson and children Kraig Kriegel, Kellie Kriegel, and Kyle Kriegel who graduated from BGM with Kayley Kriegel attending BGM now, Teri (Benesh) Iezek and children Angel Kriegel, April Iezek, and Angie Cline all graduating from BGM, and son Jeff Benesh.

Your contributions are needed to continue support of our seniors by helping them with a scholarship.  A scholarship tells them that you do care and want to help to make a difference in their lives.  All contributions no matter how large or small help to build the endowment fund.  This is a community project and it takes the entire community to make it the best it can be.

Any individual or organization wishing to make a contribution to the Foundation please contact Julie Grier, Board of Trustee representative for the Guernsey Commercial Club, or any other board member.  You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, IA  52211.
