RELEASE
CSF OF BGM RECEIVED $1,000.00
FROM MANATT ENTERPRISES
The
Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholar Chapter) received
a check for $1,000.00 from Manatt=s
Enterprises.
Junie,
Merlin & Verna Manatt have always been a strong supporter of the
Foundation. They were one of the
original matching funds along with the Brooklyn Mutual Telephone Co. and the
Poweshiek County Savings Bank that helped get the Foundation off the ground and
establish the base the Foundation has today.
Junie
and Merlin have often made comments regarding our youth and education. They have said that our youth are the most
important asset we have and we (the community) must try to give them the
opportunity to receive the best education we can. The community must help them to be the best they can be. The Scholarship Foundation is only one way
in which all of us can help.
The
Foundation thanks Junie, Merlin & Verna Manatt for their past and continued
support. With the support that
everyone has given, the Foundation has been able to give our students the
opportunity to go on to higher education.
You are telling our students that we believe in them, have confidence in
their ability, and support their efforts to better themselves and their
community.
Anyone
wishing to make a contribution to the Foundation please contact Marcia Braley,
Board of Trustee representative for PEO, or any other board member. You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn,
Iowa 52211.
Saying for the week: Teamwork divides the task and doubles the
success.
