ANNUAL REPORT AND APPEAL LETTER SENT OUT

The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) stuffed the annual appeal letters and mailed them out.  When you receive one please take the time to return your contribution in the enclosed return envelope.  All contributions, no matter how big or small, go into the endowment fund or any of the other special funds you may designate.  Only the return on investments from the endowment funds will be used for scholarships or grants.  As the endowment funds continue to grow, the help the Foundation is able to provide continues to increase.

The annual report for the year ended June 30, 2001, will be included with your annual appeal letter.  Please take the time to review this report.

The total receipts of the foundation for the year were $142,000, with the assets totaling $1,079,243.  The endowment fund total is at $1,005,012 with the difference being the amount of the scholarships due to the BGM graduates and a small advisor fee that was accrued.  The growth of the endowment fund for the year ended June 30, 2001 was $84,042.  The Foundation is pleased with the results for the last year.

Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the Foundation, please contact Loren Rickard, board of trustees representative for the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, or any other board member.  You can also send your contributions to Box 469, Brooklyn, IA  52211.
