SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS PASSED OUT

On March 1, 2001 the Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) passed out scholarship applications to those seniors wishing to apply for a scholarship.  There are 49 graduating seniors this year.  The applications must be filled out and returned to the Foundation at PO Box 469, Brooklyn, IA  52211 or Neil VanErsvelde the High School counselor on or before the deadline of March 30, 2001.  Please remember to turn in your application on time or it will not be accepted.

The Award Committee, chaired by Dorthea Hicks, will meet soon after the deadline to score the scholarship applications.  If anyone is interested in assisting with the scoring of the applications, please contact Dorthea (685-6482).  Please remember, if you have any relation graduating in May 2001, you can not serve on the Awards Committee this year.

Awards Night will be held on May 16, 2001 at the BGM High School gym.  This is your chance once again to show your support for the graduating seniors by attending Awards Night.  YOU have made a difference with your contributions and support so please come and attend Awards Night and be a part of the ceremony.

Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the Foundation, please contact Neil VanErsvelde, member at large for the Board of Trustees, or any other board member.  You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, IA  52211.
