CSF OF BGM RECEIVES DONATION FROM GATEWAY COOP AND EMPLOYEES

The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholars Chapter) received a donation from the Gateway Coop and their employees.

The employees participate in a payroll deduction plan with their employer and along with what the employees have withheld as a payroll deduction, Gateway Coop matches that amount each year and sends to the CSF as a donation.

A representative from the Gateway Coop said that the company was interested in helping the graduating seniors to continue onto higher education.  He has also commented that several of the employees were from the school district and wanted to help our graduating seniors to further their educations.

As an individual the payroll deduction plan offers a great way of contributing a little each week and yet it is pooled together making a big difference.

The Foundation is pleased with the payroll deduction plans Gateway Coop and other companies offer and would encourage other businesses to consider this method of contribution to the Foundation.  Their support along with everyone else’s has helped make a difference to our graduating seniors continuing their education.

If any other business is interested in starting a payroll deduction please contact JC Miller at 641-522-9206.  Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the Foundation, please contact Janet McNaul, Board of Trustee representative for the Malcom Alumni Association, or any other board member.  You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, IA  52211.
