NEWS FROM THE CITIZENS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION OF BGM

The scholarship foundation would like to say a big "Thank you" to Frank Heinen for writing the scholarship articles over the past 8 years. The dedication it took to write 350 - 400 articles over the years was a big commitment for him. We know that Frank spent as much time gathering the information for each article as he did writing each one. His dedication in helping the foundation grow into one of the best in the nation will be missed.

During the years that Frank wrote the articles, the CSF of BGM has become noted as being a leader in Publicity Relations on a local level. Many regional and national articles were also printed due to his hard work in getting articles sent out. CSF of BGM is held up as a model to other chapters in Iowa and the nation on how to do publicity.

Frank has wanted to do other community work but felt that something had to give. After 8 years of working with the Foundation, he has resigned his position as Publicity Chair.

The new Publicity Chair will be Candace Griffith who volunteered to follow in Frank’s footsteps. Her main concern was trying to do as good as job as Frank has done. "It is awful hard following an outstanding person who has done a national award winning job" Candace said.

The Board of Trustees of the CSF of BGM extends to Frank a big "THANK YOU". His efforts will be missed. The Board also wants to thank Candace for taking on this important job with the Foundation.
