$500.00 CONTRIBUTION RECEIVED FROM THE BROOKLYN KIWANIS CLUB

The CSF of BGM has received a check for $500.00 from the Brooklyn Kiwanis Club.

The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (A Dollars for Scholar Chapter) has provided help to our graduates in continuing their education. The Foundation has also provided an organization for, individuals, business’s and clubs to pool our resources to really make a difference for our students. We all need to get behind the Foundation and help it to be the best it can.

The Brooklyn Kiwanis Club supports many local organizations such as the New Brooklyn Library, BGM Track, After Prom Party, outstanding BGM senior each month, and Kids Club to name a few. Other service projects include, the Bi-Annual Blood Drive co-sponsored with TTT’s, and the Kiwanis Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner. The Kiwanis Club holds different types of fund raisers. The proceeds received from these fund raisers go towards supporting projects the Kiwanis Club undertakes. Your support is welcomed and always appreciated.

The Brooklyn Kiwanis Club makes their contribution to the Foundation early each year so that the contribution will be able to work the entire Foundation year in building the interest that will be available for the scholarships in May. We urge all the supporters to also consider making their contribution early so that the interest will grow for the scholarships.

The foundation thanks the Kiwanis Club including all it’s members for their donations and continued support of the Foundation as well as their community involvement.

Anyone or organization wishing to make a donation to the Foundation please contact, Jack Wayson, Board of Trustee representative for the Brooklyn Kiwanis Club, or any other Board member. You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, Iowa 52211.
