THE LONNIE GRAFF MEMORIAL CONTINUES TO GROW EACH YEAR
The Graff family wanted a permanent scholarship awarded in memory of Lonnie, a 1989 graduate of BGM High School. With that purpose in mind they’ve made a contribution each year until the permanent scholarship was reached in 1995. However, the family decided it was not time to stop there and have continued to contribute to the Foundation in Lonnie’s name since then. This year the Graff family has made another contribution of $200.00.
We congratulate the Graff family. It is the continued support like this that will keep the CSF of BGM growing. A note along with the check stated that the Graff family feels this is a wonderful fund and wants to be part of helping a deserving senior further their education.
Helping our students is what the Foundation set out to do and YOU, the contributors and volunteers, have made that dream come true.
Memorial Scholarships are an excellent way for families to honor a loved one while at the same time helping a graduating senior continue their education.
The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of BGM (a Dollars for Scholar Chapter) has a plaque at the BGM High School to show appreciation and recognition to those contributors who give at the various levels. The plaque changes to reflect contributions received as of December 31 each year. The levels are: ($500.00 to $1,000.00), ($1,000.00 to $5,000.00), ($5,000.00 to $25,000.00), and ($25,000.00 and over). You can see the plaques at the High School. They are located just south of the south entrance to the gym.
Make your contribution now. The sooner you make your contribution the larger the interest will grow for the scholarships.
Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the Foundation, please contact Loren Rickard, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce representative, or any other Board member. You can also write to Box 469, Brooklyn, Iowa 52211.
